spring squee

Yay! After the first week of applying actual *discipline* to my eating routine, I've lost 3.5 lbs! So let me take moment to do the happy dance and squee (hmm, wonder how many calories are burned doing an invigorating happy dance....)

My goal for the coming week: to get back into my daily exercise routine that I had been doing for years, but for some reason this past year, fell to the wayside :-( I KNOW I feel so much better when I do it, but it's getting over that initial hump of just DOING it that takes a bit of applied work.

And, in other news, Barb has set a bug in my ear about writing original work and submitting it for ebook consideration. Um...yeah. I've got the story outline, I'm in the process of fine-tuning and delineating the characters, and then I'll be ready to actually write the thing. That is really kind of cool.

As for in-progress fanfic--I've got a due South story I'm writing for devo that is well underway; an Atlantis J/R story that is nearly complete, and the huge mega ST:TOS K/S piece I'd started a while back that I really really do want to finish, also...because I think it's some of the best general writing I've done to date and I don't want it to go to waste. Ha. Yay, creative self, keep plugging away!

It's definitely spring...the wonderful sound of our winter geese friends on the move is ripe over my house, especially with the windows open. It's time for the spring migration back to Canada, and they're honking their way around my house as they gather for the big shift. Bye, little birdies. I'll be following you sometime this year and making my own migration to Canada, if only for a couple of weeks (hi Barb!). Those geese really have it good, the best of both worlds.
